Adam S. Turner
Since 2000, Adam has directed and produced dozens of TV spots, web videos, corporate videos, educational videos, short films, and a ½ hour pilot for the SyFy Channel. Since 2017, he has worked as a creative contractor for NATO and created the “hero” launch video for their #WeAreNATO” campaign. Other clients have included Special Olympics, the Fraternal Order of Police, Saving Native Families, BYD busses, Detroit Driven, Phelps Dodge, SunCal, and the NM Oil & Gas Association. Currently, Adam is co-producing and directing a feature documentary that explores the origins of the game “Dungeons and Dragons.”
As a writer, Adam’s first screenplay SPIDERBABY, placed high on Hollywood’s prestigious “Blacklist” and was optioned by Lionsgate. He later adapted the D.C. Comics title DOOM PATROL as a feature for Warner Brothers and developed a live-action adaptation of MIGHTY MOUSE for Paramount. For TV, Adam wrote the original pilot A MODERN GENTLEMAN’S GUIDE for producer Adam F. Goldberg, a fire-marshal procedural ARSON for Queens & Kings Productions, and another pilot about the rise of an 80s Hollywood hair band titled HEADBANGER’S BALL. Adam was the winner of the Austin Film Festival’s TV-writing category and a finalist for both the ABC Talent Development TV Writer’s program and NBC’s Writer’s on the Verge program.
Adam is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts where he was the recipient of the Martin Scorsese Young Filmmaker’s Scholarship. He is a member of the FBI Citizen’s Academy and recently completed a graduate certificate program from UNM’s Global and National Security Policy Institute for course work in Directed Energy, Cyber Security, and the Psychology of Human Decision Making.
