About Adam S. Turner
Since 2000, Adam has written, directed and produced TV spots, web videos, corporate videos, educational videos, short films, and a ½ hour pilot for the SyFy Channel. Since 2017, he has worked as a creative contractor for NATO and created the “hero” launch video for their #WeAreNATO” campaign.
Other clients have included Special Olympics, Fraternal Order of Police, Green Mountain Power, BYD buses, Detroit Driven, Phelps Dodge, SunCal, Saving Native Families and the NM Oil & Gas Association.
Currently, Adam is the writer, co-host, and co-producer of the 10 episode limited podcast series WHEN WE WERE WIZARDS about the creators of the game Dungeons & Dragons, releasing in 2022. He is also the host and producer of the INNOVATION PODCAST for NATO’s Allied Command Transformation.
As a writer, Adam’s first screenplay, SPIDERBABY, placed high on Hollywood’s prestigious “Blacklist” and was optioned by Lionsgate. He later adapted the D.C. Comics title DOOM PATROL as a feature for Warner Brothers and developed a live-action adaptation of MIGHTY MOUSE for Paramount. For TV, Adam wrote the original pilot A MODERN GENTLEMAN’S GUIDE for producer Adam F. Goldberg, a fire-marshal procedural ARSON for Queens & Kings Productions, and another pilot about the rise of an 80s Hollywood hair band titled HEADBANGER’S BALL. Another TV spec sample won top honors at the Austin Film Festival.
Adam is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts School of Film & TV and taught screenwriting and production at the University of New Mexico’s Film & Digital Arts Department for over 10 years. He is a member of the FBI Citizen’s Academy and an M.S. candidate at UNM’s Global and National Security Policy Institute.
